On the invitation of His
Eminence Cardinal Paulos Tzadua and with the approval of the Major
Superiors, the Sisters came from Asmara to Addis Ababa in 1990 in order to
open a Monastery in the Archdiocese of Addis Ababa.
At present there are seven sisters and fifteen aspirants in the monastery
in Mekanissa area. The sisters are active in sewing church vestments,
religious habits, preparing hosts, doing embroidery and other skilled
handwork.
