The Holy Rosary Sisters were
founded by Bishop Joseph Shanahan C.S.Sp. in 1924 to collaborate in
the evangelisation. We go beyond our borders to share the Good News with
those to whom we are sent, especially women and those in need.
We came to Ethiopia in 1975 and
became involved in educational, medical and social work in Metcha and
Jimma, in the Vicariate of Nekemte. At present we are in the Archdiocese
of Addis Ababa, and the Vicariate of Meki.
