Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary the Angels Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels, FSMA The Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels was founded in Angers, France, in 1871 and its specific charism is Eucharist-Mission. The Sisters dedicate themselves to the service of the poor, education, pastoral work, care of the sick, according to the actual needs of the Church and the world.
1954: F.S.M.A. Sisters
went to India in 1892 and it was from there that a group of four Sisters
(French) came to Ethiopia in 1954 to take charge of Notre Dame School in
Dire Dawa. 2005: Assisi Prayer House (FSMA) in Debre Zeit offers a conductive atmospher for prayer and recollection. The silence of the chapel and the beautiful nature around invites one to encounter the Lord. Assisi Prayer House would be made available for retreats, meetings, seminars, etc... 2008: A small community started in Songea, Tanzania.
