The Society of The Daughters of
the Heart of Mary was founded in France in 1790 at the height of the
French Revolution, through the dual inspiration of Mademoiselle Adelaide
Champion de Cice and Father Pierre Joseph Picot de Cloriviere S.J., with
the aim of preserving religious life in troubled times.
The
Daughters of the Heart of Mary are totally consecrated to God by the three
vows. Members are to be entirely available to the Church in all kinds of
ministries according to the needs of the times. With no exterior
distinguishing sign, they live in the midst of the world either as a group
or individually, in community or in family.
We are serving the Church in Ethiopia since 1952. We are engaged in
educational, medical and catechetical work.
