Brothers of Our lady Lourdes Brothers of Our Lady of Lourdes The Brothers of Our Lady of Lourdes founded who by the Belgian Parish Priest Stephen Modes glorieux to help in the fight against post Napoleonic poverty in the city of Ronse and surroundings around 1830. In the year 1999 five Ethiopian, young men started living in a community to prepare themselves to become Brothers of Our Lady of Lourdes. (Brothers of Good Works). Towards the end of 2002 four were allowed their noviciate under the guidance of two Canadian brothers, Bro. John and Joshua. The brothers in Ethiopia work in close cooperation with a Belgian NGO called Siddartha. This NGO is led by a Belgian brother of the Congregation, Bro. Augustine. The brothers assist in eight projects at the moment. There are at the moment two professed, Ethiopian brothers and five brothers novices. Their mission: TO SERVE THE POOREST OF THE POOR.
