Brothers of Our lady Lourdes Brothers of Our Lady of Lourdes The Brothers of Our Lady of Lourdes founded on the 25th of November 1830, by the Parish Prist Steven Modest Glorieux, in the city of Rome, in the Flemish part of Belgium. The original name was "Brothers of Good Works". The official name is "Brothers of Our Lady of Lourdes". In 1999, as five Ethiopian young men asked to join the congregation, the possibility to establish itself here was studied by the General Executive. In 2000 the house for formation was opened and in 2004 the first two Ethiopian Brothers were professed. Today there are eight professed Brothers and one Postulant. Some Brothers in Ethiopia work in collaboration with a Belgian NGO, called Siddartha.
